Musician, teacher 8 – 18 August
The Belgian pianist Charly Delbecq received his first musical education in his hometown Mouscron. He continued his studies at the Royal Music Academy in Mons with Dalia Ouziel, Rosella Clini, Catherine van Loo and Eugène Galan, where he graduated magna cum laude in piano, chamber music and piano-accompaniment.
He was a student in the masterclasses of Chantal Bohets, Dalia and Orit Ouziel, Milka Laks, Nadine Delseaux, Jun Kanno (Japan), Teresa Trevisan and Romolo Gessi (Italy) and Stéphane Lemelin (Canada).
In a duo with the young Belgian baritone Thomas Van Caeckenberghe, Charly was selected for the Udo Reinemann International Masterclasses for song interpretation.
Charly was invited as a soloist with the Orchestre de Chambre de Wallonie (ORCW), and performed in the festivals “Côté cour, Côté jardin” and the “Festival International de Piano de Quaregnon”. He accompanied the Belgian tenor Axel Everaert in recitals in the Orlando Festival (Heerlen) and the Festival des Minimes (Brussels).
Charly Delbecq is a piano teacher at the Music Academy in Forest (Brussels).
