Cyrus Allyar was born in 1994 in Los Angeles, California USA. After receiving his first music lessons from his father, he began playing the trumpet at the age of seven and later became a pupil of Prof. Boyde Hood of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Cyrus performed with the American Youth Symphony until the age of eighteen, where he moved to Germany to pursue his musical education. He completed his Bachelor studies in Freiburg, Germany with Prof. Wim van Hasselt, and is currently in his Masters studies in Karlsruhe, Germany with Prof. Reinhold Friedrich.
Cyrus is a former academist of the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker and has performed as a substitute with orchestras such as the Opéra National de Paris, Orchestre de chambre de Paris, Orchestre National de Lille, Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Macao Symphony Orchestra, Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra as well as others.
As a soloist he has performed with the Orchestre de chambre Paul Kuentz. Also an avid baroque trumpet player, he has performed with baroque specialists such as Ton Koopman and performed solo literature on baroque trumpet in the summer academy of the Freiburger Barockorchester.
Currently, he plays principal trumpet with the Ludwig Orchestra in Amsterdam.
