The Innsᴂi String Quartet, formed at the Royal Northern College of Music, have been playing together for over two years, frequently performing in concerts, masterclasses and chamber music prizes.
Formed at the beginning of their studies, the quartet have thoroughly enjoyed building their chamber music skills together, and are extremely grateful to regularly receive coaching from incredible renowned musicians including Donald Grant of the Elias Quartet, Petr Prause of the Talich Quartet and members of the Chilingirian Quartet. A recent highlight for the Quartet included attending the Chilingirian String Quartet course at West Dean College, receiving intensive coaching plus performing in a masterclass and in concert.
As well as performing classical repertoire, the Quartet take great pleasure in exploring other genres of music and have enjoyed collaborating with other musicians in Manchester, including musicians and music technicians at Salford University. The Innsᴂi Quartet also love outreach work such as working with young children, giving inspiring workshops in primary schools and working alongside class projects, taking standard ‘academic’ subjects and producing music based on it. When not playing, the Quartet enjoy getting together for ‘quartet brunch’, valuing the importance of spending time relaxing and socialising together sometimes away from the music!
